Deerfield Beach Vacation Rental - 2BR 2BA on the Ocean

This 2 bedroom 2 bathroom condo located in the heart of Deerfield Beach is all about the views. Each bedroom has a full view of the ocean and access to the huge balcony. The living room also has a full ocean view and also opens onto the enormous balcony. The unit is on the 11th floor and the views are incredible. You can hear the sound of the waves breaking on the beach and watch the fishermen on the pier. The master bedroom has a queen sized bed and the other room has the newest style convertible sofa and a modern futon so the condo will comfortably sleep a total of five adults.

Some of the best restaurants in the beach area are just a few steps away for your front door. One of the best sports bars in south Florida is right around the corner so you can go watch a play off game or just enjoy a nice adult beverage while watching the action. There's also a great pizza restaurant with some of the best thin crust I've ever tasted and the breakfast at Giovanni's on the ocean is terrific. The bottom line is that there's something for every taste and it's right outside the door.

The beach is very well kept. The city cleans it every morning and rakes the sand smooth. North of the pier is an area for the active beach goers. There are volley ball courts and surfers and most people play some kind of sport in the surf whether it's paddle ball or Frisbee. The south side of the pier has more of a laid back feel. Most people there just relax or walk along the boardwalk watching the pelicans dive for fish and the people playing board games.

Activities in the area

Right across the street you go fishing or take a troll on the newly renovated fishing pier. You can buy bait and fishing gear right there at the pier house. Fishing rod rentals are also available at the pier.

Around the corner you can rent scooters and electric cars to have fun exploring the beach town or heading north and south on A1A

Just over the bridge (maybe 5 minutes walk) you can rent bicycles for the day or even longer and get a great workout on a sunny day. The bike paths up and down A1A are well marked and really make biking safe and fun.

You can stay in the condo and workout or you could go to LA Fitness (right next to the bike shop) and have a trainer work you out.

Of course there is always the condo pool or the putting green (clubs are available at the club house) and you can just hit the beach and run, play volleyball on one of the 6 courts or play paddle ball by the surf ...

Restaurants and entertainment in the area

There are so many options here that I'm going to break it out for into major areas:

A little further west and your on Federal hwy. Here again are more restaurants, gas stations and even a block buster video where you can grab a movie for the night. Back on the beach, if you head north form the condo (about 5 minutes by car) you can find Mizner park in Boca Raton. This trendy area has some great restaurants, bars and nightclubs. There are some very nice upscale shops in this area too. It's a relaxing destination for an afternoon stroll among the stores and then a fine meal to finish the day. Again back on the beach, if you head south from the condo on A1A you will soon hit two major fun spots in South Florida. First you'll come to Lauderdale by the sea and just south of there you come to Ft Lauderdale.
