Personal Training
There are so many benefits to working out with a personal
trainer. If I were starting over on my
fitness journey right now I would definitely begin with a good personal
trainer. I enjoy the interaction and
the comfort that comes from working with a professional which reduces my risk
of injury. I actually feel it’s better to work out with a trainer from the
opposite sex, I push harder to impress I guess.
I’ve worked with trainers in larger gyms, at my home and in
a fitness studio. By far the best
experience for me is in the fitness studio. All the equipment you need is at
your disposal. You and the trainer are in a private area so
there are no interruptions. The
equipment in the studio is all leading edge and you get the maximum use of your
time going from machine to machine or station to station. This environment
allows the trainer to give all their attention to you and ensure a workout
you won’t forget each and every time.
Trainers read all the trade journals and most of them (at
least the ones I know) are in a community where they exposed to all the latest
approaches to fitness. This saves you a lot of time. Having someone else keeping
current on the best way to get a given result is invaluable for people with
busy lives. This also means you may hit
your goals even sooner using some of new techniques.
Most trainers are certified and have to be recertified every
year or so. Injuries in the gym are
very common and with a true professional overseeing what you’re doing (as
opposed to your buddy giving you a spot) and can greatly reduce this risk.
Having someone who knows the best way to get
you the results you want takes all the guess work out of fitness and will ensure
you get to your goals in the least amount of time.
You will not push yourself to the limits a trainer will.
We work harder for trainers, especially when they’re a member of the opposite sex.
A little innocent flirting during a workout
really helps breakup the monotony and on occasion a good friendship can
develop. A good trainer will not take
you slacking off as an acceptable outcome and when they perform the periodic
fat assessments you will want to show improvement. I hate to disappoint people,
especially when they’re trying to help me so working with a trainer really adds
to my intensity level and ultimately my results.
